About the Presenters
Sandra R. Ackerman Sinclair, Ph.D. received training in the Outpatient Post-traumatic Stress Clinic through the NJ Veterans Affairs Healthcare System. She currently is the Administrator of the SAVE Program (Sexual Assault & Violence Education) at Seton Hall University, helping to build awareness on campus about sexual assault matters. Sandra has extensive clinical experience in treating survivors of sexual assault and violence and attends ongoing training in the subject of sexual assault awareness. She is currently a licensed Staff Psychologist at Seton Hall University’s Counseling & Psychological Services.
Dianne M. Aguero-Trotter, Ph.D. has extensive clinical experience in treating survivors of sexual assault and violence. Dianne has over thirteen years of college counseling center experience. She received training with survivors of military sexual trauma at the NJ Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, volunteered with UMDMJ’s Office of Prevention Services and Research and worked as the group facilitator for the HART Program (Healing and Recovery after Trauma). She is currently the Associate Director, Counseling & Psychological Services at Seton Hall University. Dianne is a licensed psychologist and is a NJ Board approved supervisor for permit-holding candidates.
John D. Foubert, Ph.D. is Principal of John D. Foubert, LLC, National President of One in Four and Professor of Higher Education and Student Affairs at Oklahoma State University. He earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from the College of William and Mary, his Master’s in Psychology from the University of Richmond, and his Ph.D. in College Student Personnel from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Foubert has written 9 books, 7 of which deal with the prevention of sexual assault. His federally- funded, interdisciplinary research program has produced 38 articles in some of the most respected peer reviewed journals in both Education and Psychology. He has given over 200 professional presentations to conferences, universities, community and military organizations.
In 1998, he and a group of colleagues founded One in Four. One in Four is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending rape through means shown to be most effective through scientific research. During the last two decades, Dr. Foubert’s rape prevention programs have been used by countless universities, state health departments, and military units worldwide.
Dr. Foubert has testified before House of Representatives Armed Services Committee Subcommittee on Military Personnel on the issue of rape prevention, and has been called upon by the White House and the Pentagon for his expertise in rape prevention. He consults regularly with the military and with colleges about how to apply research-based approaches to significantly lower rape in their communities. He has had numerous appearances in the media on camera and in print.
Susan Stahley, MSW, received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Hawaii. She currently works as the Prevention Education Coordinator for the Alcohol/Drug & Sexual Assault Prevention Program (ASAP) at Rider University. Susan has extensive experience in providing creative and interactive campus-wide Alcohol/Drug & Sexual Assault Prevention education for students, faculty and staff, related to interpersonal violence, bystander intervention and harm/risk reduction in compliance with federal regulations, including Title IX and the Violence Against Women Act. She is a trained program facilitator of various programs in secondary and higher education including the Get Real about Violence Program, the All Stars Prevention Program, FAST--Families & Schools Together, CHOICES, a brief alcohol abuse prevention and harm reduction program for college students and BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening and intervention of College Students). Susan has certified students in leadership skills and campus program development as a trained BACCHUS Peer Educator and co-facilitated SAFEZONE, the LGBTQA Ally program.
