Mission
The purpose of the New Jersey College Counseling Association of College Counselors is to promote communication, professional development, and advancement for counselors working in college settings in the State of New Jersey. These goals are being accomplished by:
a) Establishing forums where counselors can discuss and exchange ideas related to issues and problems pertinent to the field.
b) Providing continuing education through the organization of state conferences and workshops.
c) Promulgating current ethical standards.
d) Disseminating information about advancements in the field, best practices, conferences, seminars and presentations that take place at the state level and nationwide.
e) Conducting discussions of current issues important to counselors.
f) Advocating for the specialty practice of counseling in post-secondary education.
Members
We welcome counselors, social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, alcohol and drug counselors, or other professionals who work with in institutions of higher education.
Executive Board
NJCCA's executive board is governed by a President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer, and 5 members-at-large.
